I just posted this to Lipton's facebook page.
Have you people lost your damn minds? You have discontinued what to me was the best product you had. I was diagnosed with diabetes about two years ago. After years of being a hard line Coke-Cola fanatic I had to drop it like a hot potato and I was devastated. Enter that lovely little can of yours that was sweetened with real sugar and half the calories and my doctor actually OK it as long as I kept it to one a day and planned my diet around it. OK I could do that and did. No I was one who had taken the Pepsi challenged years ago and it failed big time with me so to have something that not only took the place of my Coke now I can't drink one of those things on the rare occasion that I've had to grab something for a quick refresher when I can't get something else. I can't drink diet drinks because that give me headaches so your sparking tea became my guilty little pleasure that I didn't have to hang my head in shame over as long as I stuck by my doctors rules. Here's the really crazy part. I've introduced that product to many people and not one ever came back to me yelling that it was bad. Quite the opposite. Everyone I know who ever tried it fell in love with it. You had a great product that you never put the time and effort into the advertising you should have. The real sugar and half the calories of the average 12 oz can could have been your biggest selling point. With people looking at better alternatives you might have hit a vein that could have paid off well. The saddest part is I gave one of my last ones to a lady for her daughter who had also been diagnosed with diabetes because and she was going to talk to her child's doctor about it because this child had had so much taken away from her. Corn syrup is a major no-no for us and having something that helped keep us from reaching from something else when there isn't much of a selection out there in anything when we wanted something cold refreshing and carbonated was like throwing us a life line. Now when I go somewhere I have to hope if I'm at an outdoor event or on the road I can find a decent bottle of cold water and let me tell you water can get old at times. I generally carry bottles of water with me where ever I go but it was nice to have that wonderful little can in there just in case. Thanks for nothing and I've bought my last Pepsi, Lipton product or anything else you manufacture and will be spreading the word. Oh I tried to take this to your website but obviously thinking of making things easier for people to contact you isn't your thing.
I just found a case of 12 on eBay for $330.00 and no I'm not that desperate. Way to go Lipton.
