Something I have been asked about is the place that inspired the first book. Yes, the farm. What gave me the idea for such a place? Well from an actual place. A farm in southeast Missouri. A place that when I go there I find peace. I can walk around there and find something new and wonderful every time I visit there.
Of course my husband has pulled some of his most notable stunts there as well. Even before I married the man he was pulling stunts and getting into and out of sticky situations since he was a small child. He managed to survive all the crazy hi-jinks with his life and limbs in tact, at least I hope he did because I married him long after he pulled most of these things, with believe it or not a brain in his head. I would tell a few of the stories but if he found out I might not survive that. Really some of the crap he pulled could have got you shot, beaten to within an inch of your life, jail, even dead. Yes he can and does still do things that leave me shaken to the core with me wanting to kill him while thanking God he didn't manage to kill himself. I can only imagine what his childhood was like and envy him a lot of the time.
The thing people want to know most can a simple farm set somewhere in the back country who's biggest selling point is farm land really look anything like the farm in the book? Yes. So I'm going to attempt to give you a small sample of what it's like.
I hope you enjoy the pics.
