Well it happened. I am not sure how but it did. I'm still reeling from it but I'm on cloud nine and pretty much will be there for a while. I walked into a restaurant last night and the host came running up and called me by name. He then proceeded to tell me he had all my books and loved them. My husband puffed up like a peacock and was smiling almost as big as I was. I can't tell you how this makes me feel.
I can tell you this. It scared the crap out of me. Oh yes I was happy, excited, and over the moon but let's face it. I had to maintain my cool. I did. I wanted to jump up and down like an idiot and scream with joy but somehow I managed to maintain a look of calm appreciation but damn I wanted to shout from the roof tops and dance around the place. I know, if I had I would have looked like the worlds biggest goofball.
Now I wonder if it will ever happen again and hoping it does but still scared of the idea. I know none of this makes sense to anyone but me probably but having someone you don't know recognize you and tell you they are reading your books it something so wonderful you can't imagine the awe you feel when it happens. The past thirty days have held some wonderful surprises and I'm a happy person. I have so much to be thankful for and I truly am.
I hope everyone is having as great a period in their lives as I am and hope you have many more.
She was definitely a few pieces shy of a complete Erector Set.
"Nice equipment." said Alison.
"Don't I know it."
