I wanted to pay my respects to the fallen officer that was shot and killed while one duty. It would be real easy to go off about the person who committed this act but the fact is, that isn't what this is about.
It is about all the officers who showed up and payed tribute to a fallen comrade. To watch car after car go by from all over, not just Memphis, in honor of a fellow officer is something to see. I was fortunate to have an amazing place to watch the cars and motorcycles as they traveled the path they took. I tried to film the whole procession but ran out of memory on my phone after thirty minutes. It wasn't just police but the Marines as well. A lot of the officers did something to recognize the two lone people who stood on that bridge and watched them pass. If you've never experienced one you can't begin to understand what it does to you. If you have never had a loved one who proudly wore the blue it may not matter to you. It mattered to me. Rest in peace Officer Sean Bolton and God bless you for your service to our country and to the city of Memphis.
