Well I’ve reached a new milestone. My first book Blood Lines The Curse will soon be in hardcover, as a matter of fact I should have the first one in my hand no later than a week from Monday. Am I proud of this accomplishment? Damn straight.
I don’t know why a paperback is more important than an eBook or a hardcover more so than a paperback but it is. In books, like anything else, there are varying levels and hierarchy in representing one’s success. Me personally, I only know that that dam hardcover weighs more and would do more damage should I ever decide to throw it at someone. “You don’t like my book? Here let’s see if it can make a real impression on you?” Clonk.
Would I throw a book at a critic? Of course not, but it’s nice to know that if I did it would make a lasting impression. My mom always said that if you are going to do something, then do it right. That damn paperback sure isn’t and God an eBook is useless in that situation.
OK so maybe I’m the only person who ever thought of using a book as a weapon. Is that really hard to believe? I write damn horror. I sit around thinking of ways to knock people off. I research how to get rid of bodies.
I love my family dearly, yes there is a damn good reason for this Segway, and it would break my heart for anything to happen to any of them but should something happen that would require the police being called in to investigate, I’m screwed.
My daughter and I sit around trying to come up with creative and unusual ways to murder and maim our victims. Hey, if you think my mind is dark and off balance it doesn’t compare to hers. Damn she’s good and a hell of a lot of scarier. I raised her right.
Anyway the first book will soon be in hardcover and I wonder how it will do. For those of you who might want to commit murder with it, please don’t or at least not until after I do.
She was definitely a few pieces shy of a complete Erector Set.
"Nice equipment." said Alison.
"Don't I know it."
Would someone please make him stop excreting humanly body fluids?
